Constance Addresses the Society of Cannabis Clinicians

Constance Finley, founder of Constance Pure Botanical Extracts, recently spoke at the quarterly meeting for the Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC), which was held on Dec. 7 in San Francisco.

While in attendance, she rubbed elbows with some of the nation's leading scientists, physicians and leaders of the medical cannabis movement. In reference to her close work with medical professionals regarding the use of botanical cannabis extracts as an effective treatment for glioblastoma and cancer patients, Constance remarked, "It is both exciting and scary at the same time without clear research guidelines, but as the oncologists see the effects it is becoming more accepted."

Constance continues to investigate the therapeutic effects of medical cannabis treatment.

About the SCC

The Society of Cannabis Clinicians was formed in autumn of 2004 as part of a project of the California Cannabis Research Medical Group (CCRMG). The purpose of the SCC is to unite physicians and other health professionals from all backgrounds and areas of expertise who are "dedicated to the promotion, protection and support of cannabis for medical use." The steadfast work of people like Constance continues to play a key role in fulfilling the Society's mission.

Other key speakers at the SCC December quarterly meeting included:

  • Dr. Jahan Marcu – Director of Research and Development at Green Standard Diagnostics Inc., Senior Scientist at Americans for Safe Access, and on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Cannabinoids as Medicine (IACM)
  • Dr. Andy Hospodor – an SCC member whose groundbreaking research on the therapeutic effects of cannabinoids as cancer treatments, specifically pancreatic cancer, has made him a prominent figure in the medical cannabis industry and medical community at large
  • Helen Garvy – Director of the Parkinson's Cannabis Project (, a non-profit organization devoted to researching cannabis treatment as viable medical treatment
